How to import your catalog from a CSV file

If your catalog lives in Excel or your POS, exporting it to CSV is the fastest way to load it all into Boleani. Here is how.

  1. 1

Build the file with the right headers

The first row is the headers. Boleani recognizes: name, price, description, category, variations, stock and sku (it accepts synonyms like product, rate, section, reference). For appointment businesses, also duration (service minutes) and capacity (clients at once). Only "name" is required.

Order statusOrdersAsk for the order number and check its status in the system.

The price can include a currency symbol and separators; Boleani cleans it automatically (e.g. "$12.50" or "12,50"). For services: "duration" in minutes (e.g. 60) and "capacity" as a number (1 = one at a time). If omitted, Boleani uses 30 min and 1 client.

  2. 2

Save the file as CSV (UTF-8)

From Excel or Google Sheets, choose "Save as" or "Download as" and select CSV. Prefer UTF-8 encoding so accents and special characters read correctly.

  3. 3

Open Connections and pick "CSV File"

In the dashboard, go to "Catalog & Menu", open Integrations / Connections and select "CSV File".

  4. 4

Drag the file and import it

Drag your CSV into the upload area (or select it). Boleani processes the rows and creates your products with name, price, category and variations in seconds.

  5. 5

Review the result in your catalog

Go to "Catalog & Menu" and check that products, prices and variations came in correctly. You can edit any item by hand if needed.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write variations in the CSV?

In the variations column use the format "Group: option | option(+price)". Example: "Tortilla: Corn | Flour(+0.50)".

Does the CSV replace my current catalog?

The import adds and updates products. Review the result in your catalog and adjust whatever you need after importing.
