How to connect Boleani with Claude or ChatGPT (MCP)

MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets your AI assistant connect to Boleani and work with your real business: check today’s summary, see orders and appointments, or even create an order, book an appointment or file a ticket — all in natural language. Here is how to connect it in minutes.

  1. 1

    Copy your MCP server URL

In the Boleani dashboard open "Business settings" and the "MCP connection" card. Expand "MCP server" and copy the URL. It is the same for every AI client.

    MCP server URL
    https://www.boleani.com/api/v1/mcp

With OAuth you do NOT paste any key: the client asks for permission and you authorize your business from Boleani.

  2. 2

Add it as a connector in your AI

In Claude.ai: Settings → Connectors → "Add custom connector" and paste the URL. In ChatGPT (with connectors) or Cursor: add a remote MCP server with the same URL. The client discovers the auth method automatically.

Where to paste the URL per client
    ClientPath
    Claude.aiSettings → Connectors → Add custom connector
ChatGPTSettings → Connectors → Add MCP server
CursorSettings → MCP → Add remote server
  3. 3

    Authorize access (OAuth)

Boleani’s "Authorize access" screen opens. Sign in if needed, pick the business you want to authorize and press "Authorize". Done — the client is connected without pasting any key.

The app can only access the business you choose. It never sees your password or other businesses. You can revoke access anytime.

  4. 4

Alternative: connect with an API key (clients without OAuth)

If your client does not support OAuth, use your API key (in the same "MCP connection" card). Best as an "Authorization: Bearer" header; as a last resort, the URL with the key included.

    API key authentication
    Header (recommended):
    Authorization: Bearer bol_live_your_key

    URL with key (simple method):
    https://www.boleani.com/api/v1/mcp?key=bol_live_your_key

Anyone with your API key or the URL-with-key can access your data. Keep it private; you can rotate it from the same screen if leaked.

  5. 5

Use it: ask your AI about your business

Once connected, your assistant can query and act on Boleani in natural language. These are the available tools.

Frequently asked questions

Is it secure? What can the app see?

Only the business you authorize, and only the listed tools. It never accesses your password or other businesses. With OAuth the token can be revoked; with an API key, you can rotate it anytime.

Do I need to paste the API key?

No if your client supports OAuth (like Claude.ai): you just paste the URL and authorize. The API key is only for clients that don’t handle OAuth.

Can it really create orders or appointments?

Yes. Write tools create real records in your business (with the same validations and notifications as the voice/WhatsApp agent).
